Basically its a as the title says, its so squeeky and if i'm driving with the window up and radio off its very noticeable, i think it needs to be removed and given a good oiling because the adjustor that allows it move back and forward is a bit stiff aswell.

Is taking the seat out or apart straight forward? the Haynes manual for the Mk2b isn't available yet but would the Mk2 version have it?

Should do, They're pretty much exactly the same if memory serves.

now where did I leave that door hinge grease....
 
my driver seat squeaks too but I think it's from the inside... tell me please if you resolve that problem. thanks
 
Tbh mate i wouldnt even bother taking the seat out,, grab the WD-40 and get spraying, give it a lil while to soak in and that always works for me (y)

have you covered the carpet and stuff? i wanna see whats making the noise cos it seems solid on its mountings but is still squeeking from somewhere.
 
Mine does that, like (dont think im crazy) but if you rock forwards and backwards when sitting in the seat it sounds like a creaky door, i dunno where it comes from tho so i just turn up my stereo hehe
