Hi,

have seen mention of these a few times but cannot find any mention of even a rear subframe in my haynes manual.

I'd like to check these as part of my search for a solution to my dodgy cornering as one of the symptoms is when I go up onto a 'traffic calming device' (long speedhump) which is located on a left hand corner, it feels like the whole of the rear of the cars shifts left.

I'm gonna check my rear shocks but would also like to check out these rear subframe mounts/bushes too. Can anyone provide a pic of them, or any info that might help me learn about em

thanks

are you sure it's not the rear swinging arm bushes

they are very common failures on mk1 puntos

if the sub frame bushes are gone then there are helper bushes that can be bought from fiat that bolt on under the sub frame and cure the problem

Is there an easy check for this? The posts I saw that mentioned these always seem to mention a knocking noise and have never heard a peep or a knock from anywhere on the car

well both rear sub frames are connected together so these buses would cause noise but not dodgy handling so much there's just to many mounts on the to keep em in place
