Hi.

I am interested in getting my arches rolled as i have 17x7 alloys on on 205/45/17 so it just makes it.

I want to get it lowered as there is a fair bit of space at the front and looks like the car is on stiltz:D

I tried a bodyshop today, he quaoted me 1500. I was like OMG you are a crazy mofo. and walked of, to me he didnt really understand what i ment.

Any idea in the shropshire/staffordshire area who could do this for me as it is possible.

The springs are 15/35 so nice 35 drop at the front will be good.

Cheers lads.

Also what do you guys think of window tinting?? waiting for burn. I have a white punto and im thinking of doing black tints. I know there regs etc etc just want to know your opinions

cheers

got my tints pre cut from here, got light smoke for front legale, and dark for the back coz it don't matter about the back, http://stores.ebay.co.uk/tintexpress_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkm

wolfrace.

mine is 7 inches across maybe you have smaller. Mine already scrapes when i full lock hence the problems.

any idea wehy mine are catching then? maybe need a wheel alignment they might be out.

also what drop did you do back and front?

how badly do ur fronts scrape? only when the front of the cars compressed and ive got it full locked the wheels rub a tiny bit and i can only hear this in the wet (high piched squeak)
Ive got spacers on mine, this helped mine- maybe try those (i got 5mm spacers)

ive got the gmax springs i dunno the exact amount they drop it by

EVERYONE- SPRAY YOUR PUNTOS BLACK

well the front scrape slightly at full lock right or left, personally i think it needs whell alignment as the g/f might have hit something etc as it was fine before i borrowed it to her to go to college.

the place where i got my backbox done and previously got my k&n and alloys say the front will prolly scrape a bit but the back is clear for 15mm.

35mm aint much but i bet it will need some cutting if i cant get them rolled. :/

but if u look under the arch theres nothing much that can actually be cut......all the tyre's rubbing on is the smooth plastic arch lining and shouldnt really do any damage.
On mine, the rubbing isnt any worse than it was b4 i lowered it (if that makes sense)
id have a go with the spacers

what spacers do you have and how many on each?

I had my wheels aligned and it has stoped the scraping at full lock they recon the 35 drop shouldnt do much as they say the standard springs etc make the car bouncy hence it backing out sometimes over humps etc.

could you take a pic of your car from the side buy any chance please m8?

when you said you wanted arches rolled i thought the wheel was rubbing on the arch, spacers will only stop rubbing on the inner wing.

the spacers will stop the wheel rubbing the inner wing at the rear- theres a bolt that the metal rim catches on......ive got 5mm spacers on each wheel- any bigger and the standard wheels bolts wont be long enough to hold the wheel on.

well i dont see much difference from your pic to how my car is at the mo, i does look high to me though but if there is nought i can do well then give up.
