Need to replace it as wires got pulled out and bent the sensor when we hit some low ground

Managed to resolder wires but engine management light stays on so looks like the sensor is fcuk'd

Will the engine management system need a reset or will fitting the new sensor reset the light?

Were's the best place to get a replacement Lambda Sensor?

The code needs to be deleted, your sensor may well be working.

If you are in London and go to ace cafe meet (monthly), let me know before hand and I will bring my equipment to do this for you.

will post a pic of it to show why I think it's fcuk'd

Thanx for the offer but won't be able to take it up. I live in Billingham which is close to Middlesbrough in the North East

Fairly easy to change the lambda sensor yourself; you will need a split socket but a long socket won't fit; draper do a thin socket set with an offset 3/8 drive 17mm; also see http://www.lambdasensor.com/
ps tighten slightly before trying to undo it and coat threads with graphite grease (usually suppllied with sensor)

here's a pic

had the sensor out to resolder wires. Haven't recovered them as I wanted to see if it was working OK, but it doesn't

anyway I can check the item @ home?

Can get a new 'copy' lambda sensor for under £40. Are they OK or is it best to go for Fiat item @ around £70 ish?

4 wire lambda is all you need (they are all the same), however non fiat ones dont have the plug to attach to the loom.

You can buy a new plug from ebay "4 wire amp superseal" or splice into the old plug and use that.

I'll have a look on ebay but will probably just splice and tape it all up.
