what do i do? My daughters looking at a fiat punto 1.7D as her first runaround and there is a cheap 1 round the corner mot'd for a year but the head gasket's gone . What i need to know is would this be just a case of changeing the gasket with a possible head skim or could there be more damage done.its a diesel and was towed back when the gasket went..it,s on e-bay and with 20hrs to go is it worth a bid. i can do the work but don't want to get involved in more than a gasket change really as i got tooo much on me own plate.
