General Rattling noise

Hi yes i got the clutch re done as i thought it may be this but can now rule this out but the same as before. There in idle when pedal is pressed it goes when pedal is released it returns.
So.. for an update we assume you've made some changes.. or at least some tests/progress

Care to elaborate?

No need to be smart aha. My noise is completely different to the guy above and i have reason to believe its the input shaft bearing just wanted to know if other people have experienced this issue.

Lol, I did confuse you with Dinho1999, figured you had added some pictures to the story. My apologies for being a tool :bang:

Nice picture, makes it very clear!
Your exhaust is not only leaking, it is also resting on the subfame support bracket. Resting as in hitting it and causing a racket. It is likely that either the studs on your flexpipe are rusted through or the rubbers are busted and that's why it is hanging so low.
Since it is leaking as well (see all the black soot?) you are going to need to replace the flexpipe and probably the rubbers that it hangs off.

Ahhhhh yes that makes sense, that does clarify what i presumed the cause of the problem being the rattle and blowing/droney sound. Sadly, I dont know anyone local or have the tools to try and fix this myself, at least I can call up a local garage and have a good understanding of whats needed to be done to prevent being ripped off. Thanks for clarification though, its appreciated!

Fixed my problem got into contact with a gearbox specialist as garages were messing me about and he confirmed what i thought it to be the input shaft bearing. £180 to fix it which is incredibly cheap compared to garages quotes. Sometimes you just gotta do your own research i guess and dig aound for the right place [emoji846]
