Stupid question, but you haven't hit the S&S button on the dash to turn it off and it stayed off did you?
Thanks for the replys guys. To be honest I think its more hastle than its worth, seems to work very seldom. I took it into the dealer before christmas as it never seemed to work and they told me it was because I never wore my seat belt . That might be fine if I didn't but I ALWAYS wear it. According to their diagnostic computer there were something like 500 + recorded journeys with no seatbelt worn. That kinda worried me incase some sensor was not reading properly. I would hate to have a smash and the airbag doesn't go off cause it thinks the seatbelt is no being used or something. But he later said something along the lines of there are so many parameters that can cause it not to work that its a miracle it works at all.
I guess now is not the time to mention about the urgent safety recall some punto evo drivers will have had regarding the non deployment of airbags (I kid you not, this actually got sent out cause I got the letter)
Famous last words!!My start stop works everytime all the time. It's excellent. Obviously because you guys are horrible about your start stop it's developed a complex and decided not to work for you
Mines my Bessie mate and it's never once let me down that I can remember

Well with those odds it looks like we’ve probably got more chance of winning the Lottery than the “Start Stop” functioning!Well i'm back from dealership, S&S started working for the first time in weeks on the way there (typical!!) but they checked it all out anyway.
and they've given me a print out of all the reasons my S&S has been disabled, seems the most obvious one is "Battery Charge Below Threshold 993."
Driver's Seat Belt not fastened: 324.
I always drive with my seat belt fastened, so i'd guess its normal reading if you use your car regularly. (Mine doesn't get much use, hence the battery charge!)
Also for future reference, Reasons S&S disables itself (according to this printout)...
Climate Control
Outside Temp below threshold
