Re: Fuming!

Haha i've still not really seen any! just getting annoyed at seeing loads of 60 reg's and not having mine! Just want my car gone now its taken so long its actually filled with cob webs i have living tenants in it!!

I'll have your Mini :D

But i know what you mean, it's sooo frustrating! But at least i know it's on it's way now :)

Re: Fuming!

Right Fiat's time is up! Im off to looka at the mito this afternoon and if i get a better deal i will be cancelling my order!

Re: Fuming!

Seeing as Alfa is Fiat anyway, sadly you'd probably be waiting just as long again. Which is annoying.

I know mine was ordered in February this year and didn't arrive until May.

Re: Fuming!

I'm going in to sign the paperwork tomorrow, cars gettin taxed then I get the keys on Monday or Tuesday!

Re: Fuming!

Got a call today, will def get my car by the end of the month! :D

I called the garage about mine this morning, its been built and left the factory on the 22nd, he reckons about 2 weeks time it will officially be mine :D

I also asked him if he'd chuck me in a set of mats as I didnt realise you had to order/buy them when you bought the car and he wouldnt even give me £30's mats for free after buying nearly £17k worth of car

Re: Fuming!

YIPPEE!!!, mine arrived yesterday. Was built week cmmencing 6/9/20010 label on car says 9/9/10. So 15 days from built to showroom pick up Wednesday 5pm cannot wait.
Anyone know how I put pics up?

Re: Fuming!

Spoke to my dealer this morning (sounds dodgy!) my sporting will be ready for me to pick up on friday once I'm back in the UK. I do however have to go to the dealership on thursday to sign the paperwork before the end of the month to get the 2k deal otherwise I guess the deal will be off? Everthing should be fine as long as my plane's on time!

Re: Fuming!

Well i was promised mine would be here today BUT once again Fiat have f**ked up :mad::mad::mad:

Re: Fuming!

Call Fiat UK and get a complaint logged if you haven't already done so, You soon notice a change in customer service or at least I did.
It seems in order to get a "reasonable" level of service you need to make a complaint which is ridiculous!....

Re: Fuming!

Hi all, im a newbie but been reading posts for a few weeks as i ordered a punto evo gp 1.4 8v few weeks ago.

first of all i know this isnt directly related to what you've been talking about but would like some advice please.

basically i was due to pick my car up yesterday, as i was on my way they told me that there is a fault on my car (engine not running right) and it needs a new gasket and manifold.

im not a mechanic but both of them seem like major parts, i am very worried now that im not going to know if it still broke on pick up and if i will be going back to the dealer every week :(

i dont supose anybody knows of a comon fault (with them two parts on this engine) or wht it could possibly be ?

Hey

Not heard exactly the same thing that youre experiencing before (ie the problem being discovered prior to delivery). However another forum member has had to have a replacement head gasket due to engine problems. His situation is explained here: https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-evo/235555-oh-no-engine-management-light-interior-trim-issues.html

Another user has also had a badly running engine, with excess smoke coming from the exhaust. However, both these cases are on the newly released MultiAir engine, not the 1.4 8v, which is very well proven.

I wouldn't be overly worried providing you trust your dealer. If you do have concerns, get onto Fiat UK. Their number is 00800 3428 0000. They might oversee the process to ensure the dealer helps as much as poss etc.

Best of luck,
Liam.

Re: Fuming!

Sorry, just seen your post in another thread, which i see MrBoney has already replied to. My post on this thread was a little late - i work my way up from the oldest to the newest thread so read this one first (n)

Anyway, looks like between both the threads, you've got some helpful information. Just hope Oldham Motors don't balls it up!
