Re: Babies?????????

Im 36 , iv got 4 kids 2 of each , boys age-21+19(yes 21+19 and yes i was young),girls age-6+9 , none of them we're really planned-id love to have more kids and so would Mrs Joker(38) -but it would be un-fair on her as we're still having fun with hip displacia and the 'wonderfull' post natal depression(a daily joy) , however - as its been said its something that you and your Mrs should discuss at great length, i understand your reservations regarding the finances/recession but as all parents know -you manage and your both still young-just have fun practising .

Re: Babies?????????

Babies are really for having when you're young. It's so much more dangerous as the woman gets older.

Re: Babies?????????

I guess you can be any age to have difficulties.

I've got a blood disorder that I didn't know i'd got until i'd had two miscarriages and a blood clot on my lung ... I only found out after the two miscarriages.

It means that I have to take blood thinning injections every day to ensure that both myself and the baby stay safe during the pregnancy.

So I was both young and older, dont think age is an issue.

If it wasnt for the fact I hate needles, i'd certainly have another at 40.

Re: Babies?????????

maybe i sound young, stupid, and maybe selfish... but i really want to know what the novelty is with having kids?

i dont fancy waking up at all hours for bottle feeding
i dont fancy changing nappies
i dont fancy putting up with the crying, screaming, tantrums, noise etc
as they get older dont see the novelty of the arguments, mood swings etc
dont fancy being drained all the time of money, and then taken for a ride christmas time
dont fancy having to fork out loads of money for a baby sitter and having absolutely no time to myself
then he/she will probably give me endless ****e through their teens (i believe in kharma and know what i was like when i was a bit younger lol) and either get pregnant or get a girl pregnant and back to square 1

and in a newspaper it said it costs over 100k to raise a kid from 0-18, i could buy a nice semi detached house with a garage for that i reckon?

had this argument with so many people (mainly girls) and all i get is 'aaw but babies are cute'... yes maybe for the first 20 minutes or so then the novelty wears off and your tied to an 18-24 year contract

*awaits a grilling*

yeah they're cute and feckin hard work, even moreso when they get older, but it makes it all worthwhile when they smile at you for the first time, then tell you that they love you... you know its all worthwhile then

best time is when they asleep tho

my mum would certainly disagree with your comment re 18-24 year contract..... as apparently kids get bigger problems and troubles the older they get plus they give them grandkids

many men feel that way, but few women.

ever wondered why you feel the need to shag everything that crosses your path, or why the first thing you think when you see a woman is whether or not you'd have sex with her?

its our nature. life only has one purpose, to survive. survival depends on reproduction. that is why our most powerful driving forces are 100% to do with reproduction. men want to donate sperm and support/protect women, women want to have kids.

like many men i dont want kids but i do want sex. i keep telling myself that i can ignore most other natural urges (murder, having sex with other women, stealing etc.) so i can surely ignore the urge to deliver sperm as well. the world's population is so huge than no single person needs to have kids to ensure the continuatioin of the species, in fact we are at the point where not having kids will give the species as a whole a better chance of survival.

however recent events in human behaviour cant change millions of years of natural instinct, so i am doomed to spend most of my time thinking about sex, and my partner is doomed to spend most of her time thinking about children.

fingers crossed i'm infertile, that would be the greatest blessing nature can give a man.

Re: Babies?????????

you might as well have them near to one another, otherwise you'll get used to the peace and then have to go through it all again.

Plus you dont want a massive gap between thier ages as they will have more in common if a similar age, althouigh my brother is 7 years older than me but when I was younger it was like a generation gap - I was still in junior school and he was out getting a job..

+ there's too many people in the world and the earth cant take all of us squeezing out babies. plus **** loads of kids needing homes....

a baby woulod ruin my figure, my bank account, my social life, my house... i got my dogs first and they'd end up being left a lot more as i'd be expected to sort a baby out before my dogs even though my dogs have been around longer than a sprog.

Re: Babies?????????

Did they ever have that other baby?!

And for my own penny's worth - I don't think I want kids. Mostly because I'm paranoid that I'd break one, which would be an issue as I can't really swap it for a new one; I have no patience with kids; they cost lots; they are too much like hard work; they smell etc.

That said, I think he should have had another as he already had one anyway. Pointless giving these opinions on an oldertt thread I know! But I wanted to know whether they are now expecting again!
