Hello

I want to retrofit fog lights on a 2008 Panda 1.2 Dynamic. After some research using elearn I found out that all required pins are present on bcm (pin for relay activation and for fog light switch signal). Fog light indicator is also available on instrument panel. Of course the wiring is not present but can be added on harnesses.
However when I tried to enable the feature via proxi alignment in mes I got the message "configuration not supported by system error".
I can't understand this. "Dynamic" is quite of a mainstream trim level with most Pandas having fog lights. So it seems quite difficult to place a different bcm.
Is there any chance my ELM327 lead not being able to get the feature enabled?

Thanks

P.S.: I know that I can simply do the job with a relay and a universal on-off switch but I want to avoid this option.

I suspect its just an error in multiescan

as proxy often fails on different fiat models

sometimes you get lucky. If you turn the ignition off for a minute then back on it completes even with the error

I can't really help any more. I have never tried to retro fit some fog lights

I tried many different options, such as disabling seatbelt reminder or enabling auto door lock. They succeeded. Some other things such as cruise control or outside temp failed too.

is relay T14 getting a signal from the body computer is fuse F31 present

No they are not. I didn't thought that bcm would be able to detect relay and fuse. I wanted to make sure first that I would be able to do the proxy align and then mess with wiring.
Central hazards switch with fog light button is not present too. Is this also a problem?

honest answer. No idea. Never tried it.

the fact that other missing factory options have a similar failure mode would point in this direction

Put a switch in the plate alongside the cigar lighter and run a separate circuit. TBH the halogen fog lights are pretty pointless. However, you can get 50mm diameter pencil beam LED spots that (when carefully aligned) will give a long distance beam. Use relays to have them come on with main beam only.
Some incorporate a 70mm diameter halo ring you can use as daylights.

You will need piggy-back fuses to trigger the relays and fused power direct from the battery, switches and wires. Feeding it all through neatly is a pain but it works when done.

As I already said, I know how to do the job this way, but I wanted to avoid it. Another more neat solution would be using original fog light switch and a latching relay (because fog light button is just a push button and not an on/off switch) but instrument cluster light still wouldn't be functional. Thanks for your reply though.

Bad news. My BCM does not support fog lights. In eper you can see that this particular bcm code doesn't contain fog lights.

On the contrary the next available code supports fog lights.

As it seems for Fiat, Greece is considered somewhat third world, since any Panda I have seen in any other country had fog lights but that's quite irrelevant...

BCM will have different part numbers depending on what modules are activated. I very much doubt they produce more than a couple of types.

1.1/1.2/diesel

Fogs have been added to the 500 without changing the BCM even though its not suppose to be possible

I considered doing this but the wiring loom wires to the back of the switch block are short and very fine gauge. I could not confirm the connections. Decided it was highly likely I'd ruin the whole lot so ran new wires and switch.

This was on a 100HP that does have a suitable switch in the block, but even that only works the spots with the headlights. I wanted LED lights that could be on at any time. I suspect the ECU looks for bulb continuity before delivering power so testing was a problem as both of my lights were corroded and not working.

I am in the middle of this too. I can see nothing in the car which is a MyLife 2011 of any wiring fuses or relays. My lights are in and after a lot of fiddling with the Chinese connectors plugged in and working. I have the switch fitted where Koalar suggests as its seems to be the only possible location for it. I have a relay fitted to the front bulkhead on an existing bolt hole and the earths secured. I am now considering where to collect the power to the switch from and am thinking side lights supply or at the fuse box so the fogs go off when the side lights are off and when the key is removed. I just hate running wires especially under carpets, and I want some sleeving so the wiring is safe and less obvious. Is fuse 31 the side lights or just for fogs?
