As the title states, looking to upgrade the speakers in my 2010 169, stock ones are ok but the foam is starting to crumble so some new ones it is! I was wondering what connection they use as I would prefer not to chop the factory harness when wiring the new ones up and am hoping a wiring adapter is available, but I have not been able to find one that looks like it will fit.

Already got a nice Sony head unit and am thinking of getting the Pioneer TS-R1750S for the front and back, adaptor rings are on order (just hope the tweeters in the middle don't hit the door card!). Would anyone happen to know what the connector is for the speakers?

Yeah the speakers I'm planning on getting just have spades and I was just gonna crimp some of those to the factory harness, however if I ever swap cars I can put the stock ones back in no fuss, plus it saves me hooking up the soldering iron and/or finding my crimper. I think I may have found an appropriate adapter, just waiting on the seller for a clearer image.

It's quite possible the OEM speakers just have spade connectors. I really don't know. You will have to remove the door trim to be sure. You could however check out the ICE forums. Fiat are very modular. They probably do the same on all of their cars.

I did have the door panels off when fixing a window regulator and doing soundproofing and it was a small plug, not sure what kind it is though, found an adaptor that looks right so I'll hope that's the one.
