First post, have searched for an answer to no avail, so hopefully I'm not doing the wrong thing asking this here!

I have a 2008 Panda with the stock original Blaupunkt radio.

The battery is getting very old now and will need replacing soon, but when I spoke to a local tyre/battery place they said they'd need the radio code in order for the radio to keep working after a battery change.

Is this right? Unfortunately there's no sign of the "radio code card" that is referenced in the sound system manual in the glovebox.

No. Code is stored in the bodycomputer the first time they were connected. As long as you don't change the radio you're good.

depends which model radio you have. the two cars I have are different

the one car with CD play does not need a code

but the other with a cassette play does

It's a 1.1 Panda Active with the Blaupunkt CD player, so hopefully won't need a code based on the above.
