Today started of like any other with a panda 100hp. I woke up completely buzzing to get in my little ferrari. Went for a small drive and came back to find a small 5 inch in diameter pool of oil where my car had sat overnight. After having a little poke around i spotted the problem. Took it to my local garage (im relitively good with cars having done a couple years at college but this job was too much of an ask) the kind mechanic found the fault and quoted me 240 for the fix (seals timing kit and water pump) i actually dont feel too bad about the price. Seems to be fair. Im new too this scene only just got my panda 2 weeks ago. The main bug bear i have is this was 100% sold to me like this. Im also annoyed at myself for not noticing. At 92k this stuff is bound to happen has anyone else experienced this? Sorry for the long post. Im a rambler.

£240 is a reasonable price for sure and you will have benefit of knowing timing belt etc done , so you don't have to worry about it.
Sounds like you have a good local garage use them , good opportunity to make friends.
Good luck.

It wasnt private sale. It was a garage. Apparently i have a 3 month warranty on the car. But i have emailed and called the garage and im getting the blank

Now. I have no hot air and im starting to panic about coolant. Not overheating no milky residue so im hoping its not the head gasket. If it is the cars getting parked up outside on the garage main entrance on axel stands.

Check and keep a very close eye on the coolant level, as the FIRE engine seems particularly vulnerable to HG failure if run when this is low. Other than this, it's pretty much bombproof.

That said, there are plenty of other reasons for not having hot air. The climate control system fitted to the 100HP is known to be prone to faults ranging from broken actuator flaps (not an easy fix) to something as trivial as fluff covering the internal temperature sensor.

Have a good look under the rear of the car for corrosion on the rear beam, partuclarly around the spring mounting cups. Some have been found in a shocking state; decent rear beams are like hen's teeth and it's an MOT failure if seriously weakened in this area. A little prevention now could save you a nasty headache later on.

Well done ,good luck,
Remember keep very calm, know your rights(find out what they are from trading standards) above all don't let them make you angry. They are far more likely to do what they are meant to if you keep calm but firm.

These are not the guys i originally bought from. Just the guys doing the work. The guys are great. Just could be doing with my car [emoji14] public transports ass.

Gosh I'm glad you made that clear- they could have received a load of bad publicity.
When you go to collect your repaired car take them a cake or bag of doughnuts or the like as a gift. They will rember that and you for doing it.
Not many people bother with that kind of friendly gesture. Those gestures are appreciated?
