My 2011 Mylife has just started to have a petrol smell and I am pretty well certain the problem is to do with the pressure relief valve which on late cars like mine is just by the dipstick. I have tightened the protective cover by hand but my guess is that the real work is done by the schraeder valve it protects. Can these be replaced separately, repaired in situ, or will it be necessary to replace the fuel rail?
