Hi Peter

Thanks for your response. The HU looks the same as mine and the PDF (which I couldn't find) was very helpfull. The only difference from the PDF and my car is the steering wheel controls. Where you see the buttons for 'mute' and 'src' on the wheel my car has a red 'hang-up' icon and a green 'accept' icon, both with pictures of phones on them. Guess I will have to wait until Friday to find out.

I'm sure it's Bluetooth able if it's got the 'phone images on the left and right buttons. Not everyone has been happy with the way this works but mine has always been fine, using very basic Nokia 'phones, the lowest spec that includes Bluetooth.

The Italian lady is only saying "trying to connect you" and she goes away once you've followed the manual and the 'phone's been registered for the first time.

Thanks for the responses. I have been back to have a look at the car and check out the radio. I forgot to take a better picture! The only markings on the stereo are MP3. There is nothing to say that it is bluetooth and there is nothing in the menu on the radio. If it is the bluetooth how do you connect your phone? There is no book for the radio with the owners manual.

Thanks in advance

My last two iphones have worked fine and connect everytime, but I had a nightmare with a Nokia.

Thanks guys, I have been learning all these things you have mentioned about the bluetooth being completely separate from the HU, its located to the right of the steering wheel. I spent hours trawling the forum and finally found that someone had uploaded a PDF for the bluetooth back in 2008 so that was handy, but thanks for the link Dan. I didn't realise the key has to be in the MAR position to pair.

Has anyone paired a BB8900 Torch?
