trying to remove floor console on 1.1 active, removed the three nuts but find it is still quite firmly fixed, is there another fixing I have not discovered?

I want to check if there is wiring for the non fitted cigar lighter

anyone had this problem, any ideas?

You're wasting your time, the cig lighter is next to the handbrake in the bit where the two cup holders are .

I would imagine that is what the OP refers to as the "floor console".

there are FOUR bolts (as I discovered when replacing the handbrake cable recently)... one under each cup holder at the front, one under the rear cup holder, and one under tray beneath the handbrake handle. To access this last one, prise up the little round plastic cap that is in front of the handbrake 'gaiter'
