Does anyone know the diameter of the crankcase breather pipe?

I'm going to use a selection of silicone hoses to relocate my new air filter, but it's going to mean bypassing the crankcase breather pipe.

So, I plan to use one of those mini air oil filters - does anyone know of these being illegal for road use as the air isn't being recirculated?

Again, thanks in advance (y)

Better to use a catch can with a filter on it really. No problems with doing it this way in respect of any legality.

Google 'oil catch can'.

It might be worth mentioning that the filter ought to have a hole in the side somewhere to allow you to re-route the breather to it.

Its not legal to do it with the mini breather filters..emissions have to be by law recirculated back into the intake..if your going to fit an after market type filter then you will need a T piece some where to connect the crank breather pipe ..

Which engine? is it the 1.1? as i also would like to know the answer to this question as i'm currently just putting the stock filter back on for MOT time and the rest of the time venting to atmosphere however now when i'm Parallel parking or driving in traffic the gases are finding there way into the cabin so i would like to connect it up....

Have you got your filter yet ?

It's the 1.4 16v (100hp). I think it's illegal if you don't recirculate the potentially toxic gases from the engine into the atmosphere (which would fail emissions tests I think).

I've ordered the parts from AP Motorstore and they should be with me on Friday. I'll post up some pics when it's done!

I plan to just switch back to the OEM intake system for MOT time.

i have a ducato 2.8 jtd can any one tell me ware the crank case breather hose goes back to as it has cum out and i cant see ware it goes :bang:
