Re: Panda recall

Yup. I spend my working day getting moaned at by customers. The rain is my fault as well apparently lol.

Our Holywood ain't that glamorous! Lol
I does have hills tho so similar in that respect if no other. The only stars there are in the sky mind you.

Mmm! New store rush! Rather you than me...

Will be in soon to get some kitchen units for the laundry room (if it's ever completed).

Promise I've never moaned at any staff in Ikea...

And the rain is your fault?

Lol

Re: Panda recall

Dez has been in to Mervyn Stewarts and is now sorted. It was a 2 hour job.

Re: Panda recall

Good stuff. Hopefully mine goes as well and they also sort the knocking problem out!

Got Lucia back today. Apparently it is something to do with the ABS ECU that was replaced. The brakes do feel different as i used to get a "flutter" through the pedal when braking semi hard like the ABS was kicking in, now it doesnt do it. Did you get a recall sheet - i didnt?

Tou don't get paperwork for recalls or warranty work inless you pay something towards the work done.

And why Lucia? Dez is obvious for mine...

Re: Panda recall

Not strictly true, tyour service book should be stamped under the recall section & alot of garages give a written brief description of work carried out for the customers information.

Coz its Italian and I like the name lol. Was in work one day and a call was put out over the tannoy for someone called Lucia so thats where i got it from!!! My scooter is called Francesca (also an Italian - Piaggio). My entire automotive history is Italian!!! (well sort of, scooter built in china, panda built in poland).

T, wasnt even asked about the service book. Dont see a recall section in there either (mind you i could just be being blind). Not going to worry about it, just glad to have a car that works!!!!

Its under campaigns just before (or after) the service stamp ection.

Are there any on-line details of this recall? Like chassis numbers affected?

Best contact dealer with your chassis number(y)

Re: Panda recall

What

So Squirrel affected also then (n)

I'd rather be safe than sorry :D so call your local Fiat dealer and check on your sister's Panda

The last time I had a recall it was amazing, you wouldn't see Fiat doing the same

Toyota honoured a Japanese recall on the Surf for the trucks here in the UK, those trucks don't get to be shipped here until they are approaching 10 years old and the model was never introduced to the european markets  The exporting is done privately, not by Toyota. (Hippo was 12 when the recall was done)
Most trucks were cleaned ( hmm guess who had been offroading just before  )
Some got £10 worth of diesel, and a bottle of champagne :)cry:not Hippo though )
Most got a free (yes FREE safety check)
Also got onto the dealer's bloody mailshot list :bang: :bang:

Toyota were the same with mum's Yaris when it went in for some re-call work, Cleaned and Valeted and a Free (would have cost £45-50) car care kit.

This Panda issue ABS related then? Just sisters Active hasn't ABS so should be ok.

Jon,

As far as I know it's ABS related, but it's not going to hurt to ask is it ?

Re: Panda recall

Hmm I have an '07'. Just received a letter from the Sales Manager at the dealers saying the Dealer Principal has asked him to contact me regarding some 'good news' about my existing vehicle. It also states it is not a circular!!

Not sure a recall would be classed as 'good news' though :p

I've had one of these "good news" letters, sounds like a sales ploy but will see. how did you get on TRS?

Re: Panda recall

Recall done :D

Safety check done :D

Advised my rear tyres are at 4.4mm - they will do ages yet as they are not driven or steered so yah boo sucks:p

Found trip had been reset - seeing a range left of 190 miles on 3/4 tanks was a sobering moment
