Hello. I bought a new panda 1.1 active eco last week, but there is no power source in the car to plug in a kettle/ipod etc. When I say no power source, I mean there is some kind of plug under the moulded plastic where the power source should be, but no adapter so I can't plug anything in: camping is tricky in this car! Has anyone got any ideas where I might be able to get hold of one or have one fitted and if so, how much am I looking at? Thanks very much.

you can get a proper one from fiat or one from most places, i,e: wilco, halfords, roys, range, which would be cheaper, have you got a blanking off cap in the car where it should be or would you have to drill your own hole?? or buy the correct panel with the hole for it from fiat, would be more money for proper on from fiat, but any old one would be less than tenner easy.

sorry to be a killjoy but fiat decided to penalise anyone buying their budget option by removing the wiring for a power source from the loom. this is a typical marketing ploy to push everyone into ordering the next model up (dynamic). the low price for active gets you in the door. if you must have high current(kettle) you will have to connect direct to battery with a fused link and heavy guage wire (sockets easily available) do a search and you will find instructions on this forum.

my panda active eco is still at status 30 (ie in poland) estimated 5-7 weeks, just in time to coincide with my holiday.

btw does anyone know if other manufacturers are this stupid. ive never heard of 12v sockets being absent, let alone so dificult to install.
