200 replies and the most bad tempered thread I've read on this forum. All this about a relative minor bump in tricky road conditions with no other people involved (and little involvement form the original poster). Forums can be strange things.........

The majority of the thread isn't about the bump. The majority of the thread has been about the safety of ESP.

Seems some of us value life above having a bit of fun more than others.

Bit off topic, but how do you find the duranail elise ? I had a Bernard Scouse Audi S1, awesome car, but never really got used to all that torque.I have moved away from elises/vxs and back to a seven type for trackdays. I do think the duratec is the way forward and cant wait for the R400 duratecs to get a bit cheaper. Is a kit for the duranail elise available yet ?

As you'd expect, mines pretty different from an Audi engined car! It still weighs about what a standard S1 does but is very linear in power delivery(with rpm and throttle position) making it a great road or track car. With almost twice the power and torque of a K it just makes the car what, in my opinion, it always should have been. Its been very reliable and I've had the joy of racing and out-performing Turbo VX220's, supercharged K's and, most entertainingly, an S2 Exige Cup 250 (which must have pee'd the owner off!). SWLotus are getting close to launching their conversion, plus there is Komotec in Germany and a few individuals who have done their own personal kits. Unfortunately, all the kits are installed and therefore similarly priced to the Honda conversion.
