Had a bit of an issue with my 100HP last night, got in, started it and it caught before cutting out. Did the same thing 3 times and on the 4th time started fine. Initial thought was that it had no petrol but range was showing about 35 miles and the guage was just into the red which shouldn't have caused any issues.

Went straight to the nearest station to fill up and thought i'd switch off and try to start up before filling up to see if it happened again. Same thing happened, engine caught before cutting out. Filled up and it started first time.

Anyone have similar problems at all?

Not yet....

I wonder if there was air in the fuel line? What I mean is, I wonder if the fuel being low caused a temporary drop in the supply?

I know I 've had it in the past with other cars (Minis mainly)

Could be onto something there, hope not though.

I'll wait and see if it happens again and then book it into be looked at if it plays up again.

Not a great start to life with the Panda though, it's only covered 600 miles

What colour's your 100hp? I go to Stratford quite a bit...I'll keep an eye out! ;)

I've seen two in Electroclash Grey (like mine), one in Leamington and one in Chipping Norton, plus a Red one in Banbury, but that's my lot!

Mine's black, and there's a lad who lives in my appartment block with a black one too, bit confusing. Other than that I've not seen another one on my travels locally.

I have a similar, perhaps identical, very intermittent problem. The car (100HP) is 3 months old, 4500 miles. For about the last month, every so often it won't start first time - engine appears to catch but stalls very very quickly. Usually starts second time, but twice has required three turns of the key.

At first I thought it might be an immobiliser issue - so I tried waiting until the immobiliser light had extinguished before starting the car. This seemed to work for a while, but the problem has since recurred.

I am now keeping a note of when it happens - I have a feeling it may be temperature or humidity related - and once I have a few examples plan to call in at the dealer. Typically since I started keeping a record it has started first time every time - 6 times so far.

very sensible idea......hope you get it sorted soon(y)

(might be a software update for this but not 100% certain)

Would a software update be something that all dealers should be aware of? (Assuming there is a software update)

Be good to know if there is one especially if the problem repeats itself
