Actually fitted these on Thursday but it's the first time since then it's not been raining so I thought I'd get some pics up to show them off....

Ooops knew I forgot something

Got them from http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/ and I got a 16" TruPart TVF40R for the passenger side and a 22" Valeo Silencio X.TRM - UM665 for the driver's side. Total cost was a smidge over £20 delivered I think.

Chris

I'll have to give that a go tomorrow. Pretty sure the windscreen now gets water on it before the wipers move, but I could be wrong...

Chris

'cause it's the oldest, it'll happen when it's facelifted.

Had a fiddle with my washers at the weekend and now they don't hit the wiper at all, so it is possible.

Ok I did a quick test and yes, the water clears the wiper and no, the wipers don't judder :D

Chris

Ordering some right now. I've been looking for aftermarket flatblades which fit ... saw Valeo reference in AutoExpress. Can't wait for silent wipers...

Wiper blades arrived this morning. Fitted and appear to have solved the noisy wiper syndrome. Now cured one of my pet annoyances of the Panda. Nice one!

hi guys

just about to go on line and order blades - do you need any additional fitments ?? or is it a straightforward replacement ? ScoobyChris mentioned make and sizes of blades so I take it they are easy to order from the description ?? any help would be appreciated - cheers

If you order the parts I listed they are a straight replacement for the existing wiper blades and you don't need any other parts. The only thing I removed was a clip about half way along the driver's side arm which seemed to be designed to push the blade onto the windscreen but it won't do any harm to leave it on there.

cheers Chris - going on-line now to order !

Yep, standard parts as quoted earlier in the thread. The original driver's side wiper is 23 inches, and you can only get a 22 inch flat blade, but the difference is not worth worrying about (and I'm 6ft 5 so would notice if it were the case).

Slightly off topic but has anyone used Commas 'Rain Clear - Rain Repellant'?

I brought some from Wilkos for £3.99 and it is amazing! I put it on my other halfs car, you have to polish it onto all of your outside glass and mirrors - let it haze and apply it again. Then when it's hazed again you buff all the areas until they're smear free (took about half hours elbow grease) The next time it rains the water just beads and runs off in the airflow.
I was driving it in heavy rain yesterday and I barely had to use my wipers over 40mph as the rain just ran off the screen in the wind! Get some - I promise you wont regret it, it also cured the squeeky wipers. You can use it on your lights to stop them getting as dirty. I've treated my glass coffee table (I have two massive Dogue De Bordeaux - they slobber everywhere!) my TV screen (again dogs!) bathroom mirrors and my glasses.

The best thing is i'm collecting my new Panda next Saturday and I called them up and persuaded them to treat all the glass and mirrors if I provide them with the stuff - result!
