Has anyone had the genuine Fiat alarm system fitted to their Panda? The 'genuine Fiat' alarm for the 500 had an ugly, aftermarket looking flashing red LED which was stuck to the inside of the windscreen. Does the version for the Panda use a similar arrangement or does it use on off the LED's in the cluster?

The 'genuine' part is probably a standard after market add on, fitted by the dealer. In the same way, the sill guard and rear bumper protector sold as 'genuine Fiat' are actually made by (and labelled as) being from RearGuard, a company based in the UK who make bits fro all models of car... they just put a Fiat sticker on the packaging. I don't think you can order a Panda (or 500) with an alarm fitted at the factory, and there are no specific lights in the dash for it (plenty of others there, such as for CNG and LPG fuels systems, but not an alarm)
