A few days ago I went to the local FIAT dealer to look at one of the few new Panda for sale. (Only one, a City Cross).
Here is what I found compared to my 2014 Panda 1,2:
New handbrake - that one I knew of
Makeup mirror in passenger side, not driver side
No rubber bumpers in back door door jambs
No pull strap on luggage floor mat, but just a hole for your finger
No speakers in rear doors
No dust cap on petrol filler door
No bonnet insulation mat

Did I miss any other "improvements"?

Fiat seems to be getting more like the other manufacturers lately cutting every last penny they can by removing small quality of use type parts from the cars

Never had a USB socket in my Panda.
Also no AC, but three seat belts in the back, and 40/60 backrest.
No roof rack on the new one.

Did they also remove the USB socket in the glove compartment?

My 2018 4x4 has this, but I’ve never needed to use it... phone charges from the one on the dash and music etc all via Bluetooth. I’d rather have the added glovebox space and personally wouldn’t miss the ‘pointless’ ( for me) extra socket.

Rarely carry rear seat passengers- and so lack of rear speakers not an issue either. The front ones are better speakers anyway and I notice no difference to the sound sitting in the drivers seat compared to the previous car that had rears too

Don't you find the sound in the front more immersive with rear speakers? It takes some experimentation with the fader to get the optimal balance between front & rear, but it surely makes a difference!

My '17 TA Lounge has the under bonnet sound deadening and the dust cap under the filler flap but came with NO coat hook (irritating) and NO boot light (very irritating)

I fitted an OE boot light myself. I bought all the bits from the dealer and did the work myself. I'd like to fit a coat hook but it looks like there's a bracket behind the headlining that I'm not convinced is there from the factory.

The missing rear speakers are also an irritant. Yes the front speaker quality is rather good but I'd still like rear speakers. I'm investigating if these can be fitted if I buy all the right bits. It all hinges on the wiring being pre-installed in the doors. This was the case with the boot light.

Did this generation of panda every come with a vanity mirror on the drivers side? That should be a straight swap job.

I can live without the pull strap on the boot carpet. The one on my old Alfa 147 broke rather easily.

Does anyone know if the under bonnet sound deadening can be bought and fitted independently i.e. the correct part from Fiat rather than buying and cutting some matting to suit?
