Hello

The centre bearing on my 2014 Panda 4x4 prop shaft is worn after around 36,000 miles. Fiat are quoting £1200 for a full replacement prop shaft. Which seems OTT for a bearing that was easily replaced on Panda II.

Has anybody successfully replaced this bearing on a 2012 onwards Panda 4x4? Or can recommend a supplier?

Thanks,
Simon

I haven't tried, but I suspect mine isn't doing too well either. Odds are they don't want to bother with dismantling the joints to change the bearing so they just have a single assembled part number. I don't know the situation in the UK, but bearings are a dime a dozen and if you can just find the correct specifications/part number for it, odds are you can find someone willing to put in the work, or if I recall correctly there are places that specialize in driveshafts whom you can send the whole assembly, and they'll rectify it and send it back. There might be more information about this arrangement in the forum for the old 4x4 as I think that's where I had read about it before.

Thanks both.

I've messaged that eBay seller. If I get any definitive info back from them I'll update this thread.
