just tried topping up my coolant on my panda lounge 2013 the little blue cap ,call me stupid but how do you get it off . It has 2 lugs on and cant seem to turn it ,any help would be apprieciated,

With the engine cold (otherwise the coolant is hot and the system under pressure), press the cap downwards and then rotate anticlockwise. It will turn about a quarter turn and vent the remaining pressure, and then, stop pushing down and it can be turned further and comes off completely.

But why does a car so young need the coolant topping up? It shouldn't drop much at all - and, when cold, should be between the min and max marks. As it warms and expands, the level will appear higher.

I know this is an old thread but I have the same trouble with my Fiat Panda 1.1. It's impossible for me to get the cap off and if I want to top up the coolant I have to take it to a garage or find a strong man to do it. Is it possible to get the tank and cap replaced with something easier to get undone? I never had this problem with ordinary raqdiator caps.
