New Panda offers for 2013

Just had a look at the FIAT website and there have been some pretty wholesale discounts on the range.

A 1.2 Pop can now be picked up for 7500 (think that offer has kind of been in place for a while.

A 1.2 Easy is now 8,550.

A 1.2 Lounge is now 9,050.

http://www.fiat.co.uk/uk/promotions/promo-panda-simply

Not sure if the TwinAir also has some discounts going or not, but well worth a look.

Good move by FIAT - the Pop was never worth 9k in a million years, and it is now sufficiently cheaper than an Easy.

The Easy and Lounge are now priced really competitively as well IMO. The vast majority of people should be able to add the options they want and still keep it below 10k which is much better.

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

I just took a quick look at the VW, Skoda and Seat websites, and the list prices for the basic 5-door versions of the Up/Citigo/Mii are as follows:

VW Up! Take Up! 1.0 60PS 5 door = 8,470
Skoda Citigo S 1.0 MPI 60PS = 8,070
Seat Mii S 1.0 5 door = 8,275

This makes the basic 1.2 Panda Pop a good 500 less than any of these cars. Of course equipment specs/options do differ, but you have to say that the Panda is looking a much better bet price wise now.

Game on!

It's a washing machine.

Or when it's got A/C, it's a fridge.

But really, I was next to a five door Seat one today and it looked very much the tinny box. I know it's better than that but it really doesn't make you want to buy it.

VW should make a special edition extra-configurable version - the "Up! Yours!"

They could call those without sat nav the "Up! Sh*t Creek!"

I still believe that the ultra-basic spec Fiat should be the "Panda Bare"

The Up!, Citigo and Mii are very good offerings and there are good deals to be had as the dealers are competing amongst themselves.
It is quieter on the motorway than a Panda.
It is 10cm shorter but has a 12cm longer wheelbase so there is more interior space.
25litre larger boot too.
The owners appear to be getting just under 60mpg in the real world.
lighter
...and you never have to change a timing belt in it.
so far it appears the only problems discovered with those cars are leaks from the windscreen, poor dipped beam intensity and am whistling noise at motorway speeds on some cars and supposedly they're cured in the later built cars. It's hard to ignore those cars when looking for a Panda sized car.

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

I test drove a Mii and an Up three door versions, the basic cars aren't a very nice cabin or seats wise imo. I was considering a Up Black (and they do look more like a car than an appliance, the black hides the hideous basking shark mouth) but was just too much money and a 3 month wait. Surely the point of special editions is to have them in stock?
Have to say I've seen more Mii's ad Up's than new shape Panda's though : (

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

In today's marketplace, blind adherence to brand loyalty sadly won't always get you the best deal.

When I bought my Panda a couple of years ago, I paid a tad under 6600 for a brand new 5 door european-built car with A/C & remote locking; with 30 tax & 55mpg, there wasn't anything else in the marketplace at that time that came anywhere close to offering that kind of value.

If I were buying again today, then I'd certainly consider the Up! and its siblings as well as the new Panda.

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

I've configured the Trekking, to give me the ideal kit, and it comes in at c.13.5K Stepping back and looking dispassionately I have to say this is totally nuts. I just couldn't face paying that sort of money for what is undoubtedly an excellent small car, but still a very small car. I really object to have to pay extra for the satnav and the adjustable seats, plus some other stuff as well.

I'm now looking to buy something second hand if I can find what I like, and let somebody else take the three year depreciation of 50%!!!!

The Up family doesn't do it for me, even though the prices are good, because they are just too low built and I find the driver's seat unsupportive. But notwithstanding the dreary cut-from-a-cornflake-packet looks I don't deny they are perfcetly decent shopping trolleys. But I couldn't part with money for one - I'm old, but not that old

Perhaps, possibly, if I ever move into a suburban bungalow with beige carpets and a beige sofa and get a wife named Doreen, but not yet......

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

I was thinking the same as you but when you take the low rate finance into account there is not much out there that's as appealing in my view. I test drove the 4x4 TA today and it's just a hoot to drive. The engine gives it a bit of oomph and what a sound!! No way I'll be getting 40mpg.

I don't need the off road ability as our family car is a Discovery but the standard Panda is a bit too cutesy for me. I also like interior spec of the 4x4 and Trekking. I have to do the school run once a day so being able to scoot over speed bumps and not worry about the potholes that are cropping up everywhere is a bonus...

Ultimately it is a small city car and for the same money after discount you could get a new Focus Zetec and this certainly makes more sense. But for me the Trekking fits the bill as a fun second car to scoot the kids round in all weathers. I think it was a Topgear mag reviewer that said this was the best city car out there and I'd have to agree even though it is a bit pricey and not that practical.

Can't disagree, but the price is silly.

I object. I have a language teacher in her late twenties called Doreen and I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crisps.

Re: New Panda offers for 2013

There is a new deal on the Fiat UK website for Panda and Punto Easy models:
http://www.fiat.co.uk/uk/fiat-panda-punto-offers

However, having just tried my original link in this thread, that one is still valid and has been updated by the looks of it!

http://www.fiat.co.uk/uk/promotions/promo-panda-simply

Some very good low rate finance deals available on the 1.2 Easy and Lounge models at the mo.
