Technical FIAT Eco Drive.

Which would make sense if I hadn't stated in my original post that it gave my wife a better Eco score even though Eco:Drive itself said she was less economical over the SAME trip.
Did trip take the same time? Because better MPG * longer trip time = more emissions in total.

More or less, either way that's irrelevant really. The amount of fuel should be the ultimate measure of how well someone has driven and she used more fuel, ergo she drove worse.

Well, this depends what "Eco" means for FIAT - more CO emitted or more oil used ;)
I bet math inside is correct, it just produces counter-intuitive results, at least they should explain what it measures exactly.

IMO Its figures are based on something they jotted down on the back of a pizza box some time when it was thought about, they have no correlation to the actual cost of fuel which changes both daily and locally - so given that you cannot change it - it can never be accurate on petrol costs.

When you start a journey it takes a while for it to kick in so its measurements do not even agree with the cars own trip recorder.

So with the mileage wrong, the cost of the fuel wrong, the fuel used wrong because the mileage is wrong then nothing in the results would give me any confidence in its accuracy.

I could do a better job myself recording my mileage and what I put into the tank.

At least it's free - I would have demanded a refund if not.
