Hello

I am thinking of adding a 'twin sun roof' conversion to my beloved Sisley. Does anyone have a picture to show how the camo roof lining fits into the roofs? i.e. Anyone with a twin roof Sisley out there!!

I have the roof with sunroofs and i'm thinking of either transplanting the old roof down by the seems or cutting out the holes to fit the new option.

What does anyone think? Has this been done before I am wondering...

Hi Elgin
I know what you mean, i would love twin canvas roof,i used to have one years ago on my uk panda 4X4 and i really miss it!!im thinking of having an electronic rollback canvas roof fitted to my valdisere,i say thinking!!Have you checked out companies in the uk who do sunroofs?
Im not sure if i have ever seen a canvas twin roof on a uk sisley im sure there are as i think it might have been a factory option?,i know that loads of sisleys in italy and portugal have them.

Gaz has a twin roof sisley...

They turn up from time to time but are really unusual as the roof can't be opened the whole way with the rack on.

If you could afford it the sliding fabric roof would be great. Sometimes old mini ones come up from time to time on ebay and apparently they can be adapted to fit most cars with flat roofs:chin:

I have some pics of mine in the gallery, they dont show the roof on in great detail - https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1167

If you need any specific ones then let me know. By looking at the twin sunroofs I would say it is best transplanting the roof, as there is more work than just cutting holes out, the holes are lipped and have seals all around them to stop water running in.

If you are after a full canvas sunroof, how about a cinq soliel roof, you may be lucky enough to find them on a seicento as it was an option

Thanks Gents. Gaz, your Sisley looks ace...

I've had mine for about a month now (Blue Sisley) and loved the idea of a twinroof! My mate and I drove down South on Wednesday and picked up a 95 CLX (absoluley mint, 42k, even the doors are completely solid, not a spot!) no problem as it has twin roofs. The roof lining looks a different trim and the Sisley one looks more 'camo', but, I think a smart cut and split down the roof rails might be an option! We are just thinking about how good the CLX is... But, those doors need to be transplanted!

I'll try to get some pics up soon:slayer:

I hope Russ doesnt see this post :(

Yeap, roof lining is the same - super cool:D

My mate and I just chatted this morning and I think we are going to abandon the idea of a roof swapping/door swapping the '95 CLX into my '90 Sisley (post him giving it a full look over yesterday)- with this CLX anyway. (y) We've decided it's the summer fun motor and the 4x4s are the winter motors!
