My dad just bought this 1988 panda 4x4. I'm in the US so someone imported it a while back and I don't have any car history really. The rear brakes have been converted to disc brakes, but the calipers are old and sticky and I'd like to replace them. The calipers on the car are stamped Fiat, and on the piston itself it says Bendix Altecna with the number B4263. On the caliper the numbers are what I believe to be 52883 and 603810. They are very hard to read but I traced them with a pencil. Attached are pictures. If these exact calipers are MIA, what calipers would fit? Hopefully something bolt on as the conversion work is done already.
Thanks in advance.

P.S. I know there are no pads in the caliper. I took them out because the caliper is jammed and the brake was stuck on

just checking, you are trying to rotate the piston to wind it back in rather than just forcing it back with a clamp.

I wasnt able to do either. The shape of the caliper didn't even let me get the clamp in a position to do it.

How can I confirm that x1/9 calipers would bolt on?

Hi

have a look round on ebay and see if it looks right, then you ask the seller for specific dimensions that may then match yours.

some of the x1/9 calipers come as two parts ie the cast iron mount and the ally caliper that slides into it.

I'd maybe whip those caliper holders off and compare with the fronts - they look very similar indeed. You may be able to fit a pair of standard front calipers. You know those retaining wedges are in upside down?

Hi. Those look remarkably like Lancia Delta rears. They're fitted to the twin cam models. Sadly that could make them pricey as they're on the (non evo) Integrale. I gather they were fitted to the mk1 Croma too. Part numbers are L/H 82390028, R/H 82390029. They were supplied years ago as just the cylinder section under the numbers 791898 and 791899. These 2 numbers come up on ebay uk as complete calipers.
It's worth a quick search for M.A.R.A. Ricambi Lancia. Under Delta brakes they seem to have a match.
You'll probably find the discs are the same as the fronts btw.
Hope this helps.
