3 Sisleys and a 'HOLE' lot of TLC

So this weekend has been a rather busy one. After an impromtu ebay purchase, me and the old man made three 180 mile round trips to Gloucester to retrieve three Sisleys in various states of neglect.

1 red H reg with 95k on the clock and 2 blue F regs with 60 and 65k on the clock.

All have been off the road for quite some time and there are no documents to accompany them, but at 600 i thought it was a bit of a steal.

One of the blue ones has taken a nasty hit, and the sills are completely shot so the body is a no go. It still has the engine, gearbox and running gear. The other has a taken a shunt to the front left wing but with a strong amount of tlc could pass as a rough and ready green laner. With no gearbox and a pretty sad looking engine, i'll likely use the crumpled blue as a donor. Saying that all of the cars are non-runners and without having had a proper look im just speculating.

Now the red one is definately a feasible project, with 'fairly' solid sills and no major dents in the body work (despite the awful doors) she looks to be the bread winner of the lot. The inside isnt so 'wild' either.

The majority of the weekend has been spent loading, transporting and unloading, as well as cleaning out the garage for the new inhabitants so ive only managed to take a handfull of photos.

So the basic plan is to leave the red one for the time being, since she is the least desperate and doesnt look so much of an eye sore on the drive. My priority for now is to strip the blue without the gearbox and assess the body properlly to decide whether she is a keeper or not. If so ill be spending some time on the welder, scraping all of the broken bits and stripping the second blue for all of the useful parts (not keeping my hopes up though).

I'll try and keep the thread up to date with the work and have some more detailed pictures up next weekend after ive gone over the body with a screwdriver and hammer

Re: 3 Sisleys and a 'HOLE' lot of TLC

So this is where these three got to eh! Seen these on eBay, nice to see that we're going to get to see more of these ones and that something good is going to be done with them.

I wouldn't worry *too* much over the blue one with dent in the wing, new wings can still be purchased so that can be replaced. As for the blue one with the massive amount of damage, certainly worry about that one... probably best to just go for parts as you say on that one

That is an interesting ducktail on that red one. I've seen little spoilers at the top above the rear window as a little aftermarket type thing on some Pandas but never seen one quite like that I don't think!

So, is the plan to do up one blue and the red? Looking forward to hearing more!

Re: 3 Sisleys and a 'HOLE' lot of TLC

I actually had a brand new boxed oem spoiler like the one pictured paid 40 for it. Fitted it to a Panda that we sold on such a shame as I haven't seen one since.

That's why I'll take off all the things I add to my Panda if I sell it on eventually But in all seriousness, this is the only spoiler for an old Panda I can find now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2216674523...287&rmvSB=true

It's just the one that goes on top of the rear window though, can't find any ducktail ones like that at all! They do look interesting.

you can always do a rat look on the dented blue one.. so long as theres no sharp edges (hazard tape fixes that)or the headlamps are out of aim, its still legal!

Couple of us got them sitting I think, but they weigh a ton, solid rubber things, and require about a dozen holes drilling in your tailgate to fit so nobody's had the nerve to fit one yet

I did fit one and didn't drill any hole...
Mine it's kind of glass fibre or resin very light

I think he was talking about the one that's on the red one, the ducktail one. The one in the link is the one that you got, it's different to the ducktail that's on the red Sisley in the pics, think that he was trying to say some people have the ducktails but don't put them on because of the weight and holes needed for that type

Exactly. The lower level spoiler adds a fair bit of weight halfway down the tailgate and considering the gas strut has a habit of dropping it on my head when I put something in the boot already, adding more weight seems counter productive.
...one day I will though
