Looking for a winter run about as dont like commuting on my Vespa during the cold months. Drove by a Panda tonight and saw a for sale sign in the window... Its a J reg Panda Dance 900cc, 45000 miles, one family owned, mot till May 2006 and tax end November. It drives really nicely, little bit of pinking on pulling away thats all. Obviously it was dark but it does look very clean, owner says it has no rust at all and Im going to have a real proper look in the morning. Its up for £400 ono, what do you guys think?
Cheers!

It's a world of difference to using a vespa to commute, those comforts alone make it worth considering... I am still on the bike and becoming very tired of drying out as i sit at my computer in the office.

bah, you big wimp :p

you need a bigger parka (y)
It's not funny arriving to work with huge peepee looking stains which you've then got to dry out with your body heat... and going home is just as bad putting on a wet jacket that's been on a coat hook all day ... yeah wimpy i know but i don't see you doing it! I don't even have a driving license for a car :)

Hurry up n get a driving licence then :p

400 sounds a bit dear but it depends on the condition and whether you feel it's worth the money personally as it's you that's forking out. But even a clean one on a J I would be starting at £250 or less. Any car with a full years ticket is worth about £300 but your looking at one with much less and only a month's tax. The choice as they say is yours.

sure no problems. I am going to run it through winter, giving it new front brakes, spraying drivers side. attempting to remove dents, not sure tho.. i will sort out that speedo drive noise. excellent tyres alround. wil be after winter too. the bumper has been properly fixed now too :D servicing it this weekend, including g'box filter!! at a cost of £57.63! (thanx to my kind fiat garage) i will keep ppl updated as to how my turboSELECTA is going :D

:)

If it's a clean example, I'd happily hand over 400 for one with less than half the miles of mine and just one owner.

At a guess, she'll be finished in Rosso Corsa 140, and have a VIN along the lines of ZFA141A000480****.

I would actually be interested in finding out the registration and last four digits of the VIN :)

Let us know how you get on.

Im off to take a good look in a minute... Belfast is a bit far Steve!!! Had all night to mull it over and I reckon if what Im after Ill make an offer, looked in our papers, autotrader and they all seem that kind of price. Dont forget its darn sarf where things cost more! Oh the memories of our 1000CL five years ago come flooding back, along with the rust!!!

Got it! £350 after some haggling, its very nice too, well pleased and no more cold and wet commuting for me! MOT is in fact end May 2006 which is OK. FSH to 2002 only 10,000 since so thats good. Cant find rust.... yet! Mechanically it will need some driveshaft gaiters as they are a bit weepy.
