OK my son in law bless him tells me his 4x4 has a loss of power above 40mph :bang:any thoughts on this:( I think it might be a fuel starvation or a problem electrical power pack at side of dizzy. It's cold wet and a snow covering on the mountain and I don't wish to be under the hood at this time of night. Please let me know your thoughts on this problem:worship:

Hi Allen,

If you're still stuck after trying the obvious I can only add the not so common, cam timing jumped a tooth, or blocked exhaust. (y)

What about the not so obvious.
Wheels spinning in snow as you pass a Range Rover in 4wd.
or
Driving in 4wd permanently does seem to slow them down a bit or at least make them feel slower.

I test drove the car yesterday it appeared ok to me, he told me he has not had it in 4 wheel drive? to me it had plenty of power no missing on hills or clutch slip I will check timing. It has no cat on the exhaust system and its a new one I fitted back end of last year and no no gas leaks:confused: He may have a heavy right foot or leaving the choke out longer than necessary.
