.....Am I the only one who has really bad outbursts at them like 'This ****ing car' and 'What the ****s wrong now' or 'Ahhhhhhh, For **** sake :bang:'?

Well this has been one of those weeks

Where does it start? (This could be a long post at the beginning of what could be a long thread!)

Wednesday night, out an about, and randomly lift one of the floor mats only to hear squelch . So remove all four matts and the foot wells are sodden :(. So obvioulsy water is getting in somewhere. Deffinatly not the sunroof. I noticed a few weeks ago that one of the pedals was wet when I got in it, but assumed I must have knocked it with my foot when getting in so thought nothing of it. And am now beginning to wonder if water is somehow getting in through down there :(. Any Idea's

I also hit the pylon in the garden of our college digs, my fault, pratting around , but no damage luckily.

Thursday night, spend 6 hours fitting this bloody light bar . So much for a 30 min Job. It wouldn't sit properly at the front of the car because of the way it curves (who ever said Panda's are square is a liar :p), so end up having to put it behind the sunroof. Now got all the light pooring in like blackpool illmin's (I recall someone else fitting one to a Panda and having to blacken out the sunroof iirc?)

Friday night (last night), finally got the light bar wired in properly. But had fun down a dirt track before, and now the battery warning light on the dash dosen't work (what could that be?). After wiring it in, went for a drive at 0200hrs this morning to see how effective it is. And my word it is. About 1.5 miles away from college digs and the steering goes all funny . Typical I think. A flat tyre. But no worse .

The wheel was loose. The nuts had undone themselfs . So tighten them up, worried about how they've become loose, and contine on my way.

Saturday (today). Get up and do my 30 mile journey to the cafe near home to meet dad. The gearbox is beginning to play up now, or the clutch rather. Can't get the bloody thing into gear easily. Grinding  :bang:.

Got parked and when parking it was to bad I had to turn the engine off, put in gear, and re-start to move into the space . Call the AA out, only to get, 'oh it shouldn't be doing that' Me - 'I know it shouldn't. FFS why do you think I called you out' :(

AA - 'It's not normal for gear lever to move what much is it '

Me - 'WHAT :bang:, yes it bloody well is (no different to the 750L, which some tit from the RAC said the same about :nutter:). Thats not the bloody problem. She won't enguage'.

AA - 'Oh yea, you have to push your foot all the way down on the clutch and it's still doing it'

Me to dad as he walks back to the van - 'OMG, he's a ****ing genious. WTF did he think I was telling him '

So he comes back and adjusts the clutch, so what is likly to have caused it to need adjusting? I know the clutch was done about 4000-5000 miles ago, just before I brought the Sisley.

So I get back home finally :).

I know what I say, lets start my Selecta up as we've charged the battery in it during the week. So get the key's, turn the key - Click Click CLick Click Click.

FFS. What now , well the battery is US'ed. Put the jump pack on her and she started first time. So now got to get that changed :(

Panda's its just such a Love hate relation ship :(
:tempt:

Water in Panda it's natural! Don't we all've got it;)...joking...

When I had wet pedals (and also shoes), water was going through windscreen.I had drain holes blocked and water was going into window seal and then to my car...Check you drain holes/pipes if they OK (you can find it next to wiper engine and next to battery)

Other place is door seal,
then rear windows (next to hinges)
then doors itself...if there is no film cover behind door upholstery water can go next to door window seal and then droping inside...

:)

Ok....my two pennies worth..
The rubber boot at the bottom of the gearstick UNDER the car might be worth a look.
I have just bought a new one for the sisley as mine had a big split in it.

When i pulled the gearstick gater rubber off i could see the road...
Big hole for water to get in???? I'm not too sure....just an idea

Last time I had water in it was comming in through the front panel/bulkhead as a result of a leak in the matrix so smell if it's coolant or water. If water I agree with Jangcy and it's comming through the windscreen or below the seal, if coolant it'll be the matrix.

On the clutch cable make sure there are two nuts so they can be locked together & not just 1 as with vibration such as the dink with the pylon it can come undone.

The battery light not comming on will be the alternator. The alternator itself maybe fine so check to see if the little black wire has came off or any other wiring from it.

Your lucky mate you have only had a few days I've had nearly a year of sh*t but the Sisley's perfect :p

Thanks all. Sounds like I'll be having fun finding out where the water is coming in then :p

So Jangcy, are these drain points behind the insulation that runs around the bulkhead  We're not on about the two vent hoses that run down each chasis leg are we? I haven't check those in the Sisley come to think of it, and know they normally get cloged up

Jon.

Yes it's behind insulation. You can get to them from engine site (not from inside) I'll take some picture today if I find it:)
But if I'm right and you don't have full cover inside car just under windscreen you should be able to see water coming inside (through seal) when it's raining...I saw it...

:)

That sounds a complete bugger. My sun roof seal came off last night, so I'm hoping that when all the ice melts it doesn't leak. I'll need to get a new one though some time.

What's this light bar you speak of Jon? Pics please, I'm interested!!

I'll get some pics up this afternoon for you (y)

Well after looking for my phone to upload the pic's I seem to think I've lost it

Bloody N95, with all my pics, vids, and numbers on and a 4gb memory card. I'm just going out in a bit to see if it's fallen out of the car when I took the pics. :( Otherwise its and insurance job

Good pics Jon but you'll need to blank out the sunroof......Its like driving in daylight ain't it, even inside the car.
