Hi all,

Just browsing ebay for random fiat parts as you do, and came across this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuel-Intake-G...rms=39:1|66:2|65:1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

I'm assuming this is aimed for the modern models, but would it be worth investing in for old Pandy? Further to that, any good for a GP 1.9 Sporting?

Thanks,

Vicky :)

Hi Vicky,

Nope, they won't help at all, all snake oil I'm afraid.
I can't remember if your (or is it your sisters now :D) Panda is a four or five speed gearbox. If you want to improve the mpg then the best bet is to fit a 5 speed box if yours has a 4. If your after extra bhp pop round and we can have a chat(y)

For your GP a remap for extra mpg and/or bhp from GSR/Reddot at £200 is probably the way to go. cheers Damon

Agree with the above, the best way is to make sure what you have already is in tip top condition, these things make no difference whatsoever (let alone a 31% saving!). Things like having the right timing setting and checking the vacuum advance units can make a massive difference on FIRE engines. Also chuck out any unnecessary things in the boot, weight is a killer for small cars!

Cheers, Mike

Cheers guys,

Won't bother with any of those then! To be fair the Pandy was always very economical, so it was more out of interest than anything else, especially with fuel being so expensive these days!

I think the truth is I just want to keep tinkering with the Panda...I'm having trouble letting it go to my sister ;)
