I have rent a Ducato 250 Long wheelbase it is 2.3JTD 120 (IVECO engine) 2010 for a month after my other van was in accident now is in the repair shop. I am not sure if the van that I rent may have a problem with engine speed, when I was in Wales at a quiet narrow roads in the moor to collect a special parcel for a company. I went up at 30% steep uphill in second gear because of lack power under heavy loading the van it weights 3.7 tons but the engine rev it stops at 3,400rpm is this a rev limiter? the van it doesn't have a speed limiter is that normal?

3400 sounds quite low..

Unless the hire company have done this cap.
