Hi to everyone, I've just joined.

I would like to ask for any help, with my Fiat Ducato Hymer 1995 2.4 Diesel motorhome.
It's been left standing for quite some time and now it doesn't start, I've replaced the battery and fuel filter and the engine cranks over ok. I've checked fuses.
So I'm thinking it could be the starter relay or the fuel pump, trouble is I'm not sure where they are? There are a couple of replays in the middle above the engine.
Yesterday I took off the fuel line and no fuel was pumping out when I cranked over the engine, which points to the fuel pump but does the starter relay control the fuel pump, by sending a voltage to it??
I think maybe the fuel pump is in the diesel tank, or could it be in the engine compartment.
Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks for your reply and the diagrams, which I will go through.
I forgot to mention that my motorhome is a Fiat Ducato Hymer B544.

If I took off the fuel line that comes from the fuel filter and cranked over the engine, then there should be fuel coming out of the fuel filter outlet but there was nothing. So would you say this is a good indication that it's the fuel pump, or could it be a fuel relay?? I'm not sure if my motorhome has a fuel relay, it's just something I saw generally on YouTube.
My last option is to call in a mechanic but that's expensive and I really would like to solve this problem as it's cheaper!!

If youve got an in tank pump.. check that it has electrical power..

Traditionally it will run on a timer

IF you have reliable power.. assume the pump is faulty

I assume you have checked the fuses?
