Hi All,
I’ve spent a while reading past forum posts , the steering wheel removal guide and downloaded the eLearning stuff but I still need some guidance re removing the steering wheel on my 2002 Ducato 2.8 – I think it may be referred to as a 230(? – something I picked up off the internet).
The steering wheel type is as pictured. I’m assuming that to remove it I will have to puncture the base of the steering wheel at the point where the holes are marked?
My issues are
1. There are four hole points marked so should I pick the ones widest apart?
2. How much pressure is actually needed – I tried one hole and other than piecing the soft outer steering wheel covering I could not feel any give which given that a spring is involved I’d have expected to feel some movement. Just trying to avoid causing more damage than I’m repairing (faulty steering column switch).
Many thanks
