Hi guys:)
Wrote my little chevvy off and knew straight away i had to get a Fiat 500. Yearned for ages and was worried i wouldnt find one in my price range that was low mileage and also the spec i wanted.
Viewed one in a garage Sunday morning and liked it but not loved. The second garage i went to i fell in love straight away.
Lounge 1.2 with the panoramic roof, elec pac in volare blue.
I pick it up Thursday night And being without a car for three weeks i know im going to be ecstatic.
Love this forum already

You're not stalling it, that's the Stop & Start system!

If you stop the car, pop either the handbrake or footbrake on and then put the gear in to neutral, when you lift off the clutch the car will automagically stop the engine and a little S&S symbol will light on the dashboard. As soon as you put the clutch back down (or indeed, release the brake) the engine will restart and you can drive off.

The system is there to cut down fuel usage when you're stationary. It will stay off for up to 3 minutes. The only other condition of usage is that the battery for S&S needs to have charge - so if you only use the car irregularly it can take time for it to be ready for use. If you're driving every day, S&S is usually good to go straight away or within a few minutes.

Thank you :). I sat down with manual last night and realised what was happening . It just felt like huge time delay but this morning I think it was just me getting used to it.
Felt really stupid lol

Thanks again x
