Hi all,
Im from the UK but currently in France heading towards Italy and my second generation Multi has started to leak copious quantities of diesel from somewhere close to the UFI filter housing.
Ive just removed the filter housing unit from the car. Not that clear where the diesel is / was leaking from. In addition to the two fuel connection higher up, there is a plastic boss in the housing pointing downwards, that had nothing on it but looks like it could be used as some type of return or overflow. There was diesel around the electrical connector housing on the base of the unit also.
Am I correct in thinking it is possible to replace the filter element on the inside of the UFI housing, if I can manage to undo the screw top? Or is this a 'replace the whole UFI unit only' kind of thing?
Any help appreciated, particularly if anyone has any experience of dripping diesel in this area?? Is this likely to be happening if the filter is overdue for replacement?
Many thanks,
