Have worked on Fiats since 1979 then professionally since 1985.
Have done numerous engine swaps, same or bigger etc.
Why is it so difficult to get advice about a used engine for our Multipla?
I asked a supplier in Italy about a 192 engine to replace a 186 but he just said he hasnt got one.
Will it fit or not. Or can I fit a 16 valve Alfa engine with 155hp?
Who knows? or is there legal reasons like insurance etc?

Some guys on the Polish Multipla forum have fitted 16v JTD engines. It might be worth sending @miszczu77 a PM, if he still comes on the UK forum.

TBH, from what I've seen the Polish guys are far braver with their mods than us timid UK bods, so their knowledge is more likely what you're after. That said, their is/was a 2.4 20v Mjet rumoured to be running around in Scotland a while ago.
