I love the lok of the Multipla, and the fact that so many people hate them (and need to tell you how much) gave me even more reason to get one.

here's my story. Dont make the simple mistakes I made, for god's sake.

1. Ebay purchase. 750 quid W reg. Battered. But it will come with 12Mth MOT so It cant be that bad, right.

2. Vendor seemed a thouroughly nice chap, so the claim of "Documents are due any day now" semed genuine. WHAT WAS I THINKING???????

3. Drive car home. Disappointed in engine performance. No torque, wont rev. Discover pipe partially disconnected from Turbo intake. Once reconnected, engine ran even worse. Worked out that MAF was goosed. Contacted vendor, but he pointed out that I was happy to drive the car away at the time. He had a point I suppose.

4. WAIT 7 WEEKS FOR DOCUMENTS SO I CAN RETAX IT. In that time, spent 200 quid on belts, tensioners, water pump, maf, oil, filters. NB Bought an "EZ CHILL" aircon recharge and it really works...

5. Discover front tyre bald on the inside. (Should have checked...what is wrong with me, I am 35 ffs..)

6. Have tyre replaced, tracking done. Its miles out..

7. Lock up rear wheels in the rain. Hang on whats wrong with the ABS?

8. Investigate why ABS light/ Handbrake light is not on.. Oh, someone has stuffed tape around the indicator lamps so you cant see they are on.

9. Put 7.5A fuse back in for the ABS. Handbrake light goes out, ABS stays on

10. Plug in laptop and find 2 front sensors faulty. One has been cut and rejoined by twisting together (open circuit because it it yet another bodge )

11. Order sensor. Make proper connection on one.

oh and both sunroofs leak and the fag smell in the car wont go away.

and despite all this.

I like it. The worse car I have ever bought and I like it. What is up with that?

...oh and it turns out it is an import, too.

that sounds like a fairly good one!:p

when we got ours it needed loads doing, rear arms, front arms, 4 tyres, cam belt, throttle pot, shocker, spring etc etc but it was a one owner with full history, now its all sorted its great very reliable and very economical stick with it you wont regret it.
