Punto (Mk2/2b) MK2B Active Sport

Introduction

Hi
ive had this car for about a month so i thought id show it to you
A 2004 sprint blue 1.2 8v active sport which i call clue (clu in the number plate) to replace my Sei sporting
im loving the punto so far bigger inside and more comfortable in side

mods so far: removed Punto and active sport badges, painted fiat badge, painted airel and colour coded the wing mirrors (need pics)

mods to do: badgeless grill, maybe refurb wheels in white, maybe Abarth or sporting side skirts

anyway all comments welcome, thanks, Alex
Do you know maybe why mine wont unscrewed. I can take off 2 or 3 bolts and rest of them wont as they keep turning the nut with bolt and I can take it off

Hi, you could try holding the stud with a 4mm socket and the undoing the nut with a 10mm spanner that helped me get mine off
just make sure you put plenty of WD40 or plusgas on it first

i got some chrome indicator bulbs from ebay
remove the side repeater from the wing, carefully open it there should be a little amber cap for the blub which you can just remove and replace the clear bulb with a chrome one

Yesterday i washed my punto and clayed it something ive never done before.
I think looks really good and shinier than ive ever seen it
also i went and got some photos of it

Looking shiney. Did you put any wax or polish back on as protection. As when you removed the contaminants by claying you also removed any protection that was already there.

well after 7 months ownership i no longer own my Punto
in that time it had new battery, new bulbs, new aux belt, new (recon) gearbox, new clutch, new plugs, new ht leads and new wipers. it also just started to develop a power steering fault (went heaver turning one way and not the other and would sometimes go really heavy at low speeds)
I part exed it for my new car a Fiat 500 street, so im still on the forum and more importantly still with fiat
Alex
