I have been driving a Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD 53 plate, the past year its been starting from cold ok now it has been getting more difficult in start from cold, Have had the local garage check it out and has showed faults on the fuel side of things, but the strange thing about it if you gave a wee squirt of easy start it would fire up, have it running for 5 mins and would start up ok, can any one help me is there a cold starting device or could there be a system in the fuel for keeping the fuel at a pressure???

Thats perfectly normal when you have borderline low pressure the easy start increases engine rpm -> increases pump rpm -> increases pressure and the ecu will fire the injectors. Do an injector leakoff test to check for a duff injector.

And stay off the easy start as motors become addicted to it...and wont start without it
