Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

I tried this already lol, car is definitely more comfortable with 145s, so I'll stick with them.

May not be original but they really suit the car! Being all black seems to make them blend with the black plastics better.

Whole car is looking very nice, good work James.

Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

Car is on the ramps for its MOT. I'm a bit nervous now as on the way to the test centre, front mudflap decided to unhinge itself!!! Luckily I had a 10mm socket on me to put it back on lol!!
Wish me luck!!

Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

Not enough luck Jamie, it failed!

N/S and O/S ball joints, and handbrake not efficient enough.

Advisories: suspension arm bushes deteriorating and rear wheel bearings have slight play.

My local motor factors thankfully had ball joints, shoes and springs all on the shelf!! Will get these fitted ready for retest.

Anyone know where i can get hold of suspension arm bushes? Click image for larger version

Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

Might be simpler to change the whole arm as they are readily available and not expensive. Not sure if I've seen the bushes sold separately.

Re the handbrake, are you sure it's the shoes that are the problem? Have you checked to see that the cable and mechanism is free?

Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

Cable itself is fine. I reckon the shoes will be alright, but thought seeing as I'm taking it all off anyway, it would be better to replace with new. He said it could need minor adjustment, but it wasn't expensive for all new springs. As for the suspension arms, absolutely I'll be replacing the complete arms.

Re: '88 Panda 4x4 SR

a bush from the bay costs: about 8>
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wishbone-S...item5d3795ffe7

but an arm costs: 15>
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_od...r+arm&_sacat=0

heard it can be a pain to get the bushes back in without damaging them though :/
