Introduction

This is my stilo, bought it about a year ago...the first hing i did, on the first day was install a car pc i bought off of Volxstu in bits, that is bullied into life lol. of course it was riddled with problems....the rest is pictorial....
enjoy...

on day 1 it was so....



i then added the pc bits but didnt take any pictures....i took some pictures later, there later on in the chronological ways

next i got the cam belt done, it was a lil overdue

i then got a SS exhaust from powerflow in hayes....





then i added the ICE in the boot...ive got a vibe space box 4 channel amp and a JBL 14001e, an inverted vibe space with a box in the wheel well, and diamond audio HEX 600 6.5" in the fornt doors, no speakers in the back....yet





then the clutch gave in never seen anyhitng like this before....

split this up because i didnt trust the browser....

i was then graced with the unfortunate side of driving...i had a crash in the ice....pretty bad...

i then got hold of some blades in fookin terrible condition...and embarked on a refurb....and i painted the calipers :D

thats the wheeels....you can just baout see the wind deflectors also...but ill put better pics up of those later...

theennnnnni fitted the directed electronics 3091T canbus alarm and cruise control following the instructions for a semi-posessed stilo in the thread...

all the connections for the CAN BUS should go to the black plug on the right....

you can see the valet button/LED on the right, and the subwoofer gain control, and where all the cables for the alarm module meet on the left..behind the screen which isnt there ;)

Dave: you are 100% correct they do need a grommet, they do have a grommet just not in the picture...

bit of info for the car PC off the top of my head...

motherboard: jetway jnc62k AM2+ GeForce 8200
CPU: AMD athlon x2 2.1 low energy...
RAM: 1GB think its 800mhz but cant remember...
HDD: 250GB 2.5" SATA-II

OS: windows 7
Front end: Centrafuse 3.1
Nav: Destinator
Toys: USB GRP reciver, Griffin Power mate, USB micro wirelss keyboard
Screen: 8" resistive touch screen
sound: creative audgy 2ZS low profile

ok a lil bit more tonight then bed...

i decided to sound deaden it...so i broke out the foam!

you can see the diamond audio hex's in the front...
basically i filled the rear quaters and the void in the floor with expanding foam....took 6 cans

then i painted the inside of the car with spectrum second skin slightly sludgy...couldnt work out hoe to get the silver bit of the doors off, so i just painted those, and thought id come back to do the insides when i find out how....

i also took the oppertunity to fit apline type r 6.5" coaxial speakers in the rear quaters....then i rebuilts the boot build it was a bit wonky...no pictures yet...

I used these self adesive rubbery sheets in my Cinquecento to sound deadern,
it works well it makes the pannels firmer too so you dont get so much vibration from the cherrybomb bolted to the boot floor...:p

Wow that's a lot of expanding foam. I'm waiting to do my install before doing round 2:- noise reduction.

There is a guide that shows you how to change the window mech. That has all the info you need to take off the inner skin.

Like how it's progressing (y)

Think I'm pretty much leaving my in car entertainment alone really, it does bug me every now and again that it hits it's "limit" quite early on but it's a heck of a lot better than other standard systems I've had. Think I just end up concentrating on the oily bits on my car :D

i went to south end today...i have to say the sound insulation works a treat, and the best modification so far is the cruise control....you dont know what your missing till you try it....also its booke din on tuesday to have the rear silencer swapped for a chambered version to make it shhhhhhhh i likes the silent running :D

Do you have a mid silencer? Surely it should be quiet enough if it does, mine is very quiet.
