Hi guys

I recently bought a P reg Marea Weekend 1800 with full service history, fully documented local car with only 22,000 miles on her absolutley stunning.

However I have noticed when I first start up from cold there is a tappet noise, it sounds as if one tappet is realy loud. Also even when warmed up and your going up through the gears there seems to be an odd miss as if she`s holding back!........could this be the spark plugs require changing?

I have been told that in the rear boot space behind the plastic covers there should be some sort of connection for a CD multichanger, I cnnot find mine any ideas please. Also do I have to buy a Fiat mutichanger or will any fit?

I always let my cars tick over and never drive straight off. Any help on this would be graet.

Thanks

If anywhere, the CD changer lead will be under the front passenger seat, or maybe tucked beside the tunnel area. Its a long lead and the excess is folded back on itself.
CD Changer is a Grundig unit, on OE fits.

Tapping sound on engine, doubt if its camshaft/follower noise if only on startup, could perhaps be conrod or main bearings which quieten down once oil pressure has risen.
