Hi have had marea 105jtdelx for 3 months now noticed glow plug icon on instrument panel flashed for about 28 seconds so have had them replaced and it still does it (thats after the engine has been started and running by the way then it goes out,the glow plug indicator!)thanks in advance.

Could be a relay. I had the car on the diagnoser for its airbag light and they checked the glow plug light too - problem with pre-heat circuit but that could be a number of things. The car starts first time, everytime, quickly. Loathed to change the plugs just to keep the flashing light! How much did you pay for your plug change, or if you did it yourself how long did it take, and what were the pitfalls?

cost 45 quid to change plugs at a local garage ,mine too starts 1st time everytime ,i also noticed when you have been out for say 20 mins engine up to temperature and go to say a shop. When you restart the car they dont flash as much , only when cold they flash for 28 secs!i think i will just leave it for now it runs fine anyway.

The flashing is something called post heat. What it basically means is that the ECU is commanding the glow plugs to stay on whilst the intake temperature gets warm enough for the engine to run without any white smoke.
