Hi, I have a problem with my wipers / headlights on my Marea. When I switch the headlights on, the wipers also come on (some times) even if the switch is in the off position. They work normally with the wiper switch. I beleive it may be a earth problem, but can anyone point me in the right direction.

It does sound like an earth fault. If you have lamp washers start around the washer relay.

Thanks for the info, but no headlamp washers (only an ELX), tried both earths on wings (left and right) but still get the problem. Any other suggestions. Please

Have you checked the wires leading from the back of the fuse box because one or more of them could be frayed and coming into contact with another one messing the whole circuit up?

have a 1.6 weekender with same problem now whole car is dead
can't find a wiring scematic for car have now had to swallow pride and get an auto electrician out if i get any luck will post results.
