I decided to give my car a proper clean and hoover, after spending a couple of hours on it i was quite pleased with my efforts until, i tried to start the car later that night......no luck. The engine would turn over ok but not start, i tried for about ten minutes with no luck. Over the next few days i tried a few things to see if i could get it going, i removed and cleaned the plugs (getting a good spark) i tried booster cables and my wifes car, checked every fuse i could find, nothing. My mate came over with a battery charger to help the low battery, he mentioned something about an emergency cutout switch, i checked the manual and sure enough it has one under the passenger seat, after re-setting it the car started first time. It seems i might have been a bit too vigourous with the hoover and bumped the switch causing it to trip, i feel like a bit of a diddy but at least i'll remember that one for next time,
regards,
Jim.

In the summer when we had the bad rain . Went out to get a bottle of wine, and put the wine on the passenger side floor in my bravo. Pulled out of a junction heard the bottle roll and hit the seat, checked it had not broken and thought nothing of it, then the engine died, could not start it. Pushed the car to the side of the road waited two hours for the AA. The AA bloke never even lifted the bonnet he tried to turn the engine over then opened the passenger side door pressed the button job done. Got back home to a cold sunday dinner and a pissed off missus (n)

I suppose i was lucky i wasn't driving it at the time, but definately one to remember.
Jim.
